LONG TIME NO BLOG //

I know I know, I've been lacking on the post front, but I do have an excuse! I've had no real computer, and my dad is adamant not to let me on his office computer, but fear not, I got a beautiful new laptop for Christmas.. So that means I'll be able to post a lot more, and do more outfit posts etc.. I've also been super busy/stressed with UCAS application and deadlines in my OU course. But now I'm currently munching on a kinder santa.

NASTY GAL //

Nasty Gal is an online web store based in America, focusing on creating clothes for the "fashionistas" of the planet. They mix grunge with classic and timeless. I love everything on the website and could quite happily buy everything on the site (literally) if money was no object. They describe themselves as "The queens of vintage. The sheikhs of sequins and the sultans of studs. The secret source of tastemakers across the globe." Which I can happily agree with. As prices are in dollars, I find that you do have to do a bit of converting to see how much you're spending! The prices are fairly reasonable for what you're getting, but it can get fairly expensive, but still gorgeous. Customer service is fantastic and they have a flat shipping rate which is great! Just watch for custom charges, but other than that, this website is my absolute favourite!

BRONZE AND BROWN GOING OUT LOOK //

This is my go-to eye look for nights out, it's easy, quick and really pretty!

Products used:
  • UDPP
  • MUA Professional Heaven and Earth Pallet
  • Maybelline gel liner
  • Eylure Naturalites number 080 lashes
  • Revlon Grow Luscious mascara
How To:
  1. Apply primer all over lid to ensure shadow lasts all night.
  2. Take a shimmery mid-tone brown and gold and pack on to lid.
  3. Apply a dark shimmery brown in crease and blend out for a good 5 minutes.
  4. Apply a tiny amount of a matte black shadow in the outer v and blend thoroughly.
  5. Line lash line with the gel liner, making line thicker at the end and flick at the end, follow the line of your lower lashline going upwards until thick or as long as desired.
  6. Apply false lashes.
  7. Finally apply a coat of your favourite mascara and fill any lines with the gel liner again.
And hey presto! there you have the perfect, natural going out look. enjoy!

REVIEW: XEN-TAN BODY SCRUB //

The "Xen-Tan Body Scrub" is a body scrub designed to be used daily in preparation for the application of self tanner. If you're anything like me and obsessed with looking tanned and healthy all year long, then you'll always be on the hunt for a good scrub to get rid of old tan and dead skin cells. I've always stuck by my exfoliating gloves with "Flake Away" by cult brand "Soap & Glory", however I recently purchased this baby by Xen-Tan (as an avid user of their dark lotion, I thought the scrub would be a nice companion!) and it sure is! it works really well at getting rid of any remnants of previous tan and dead skin. It has a nice fresh minty scent which leaves you feeling clean and refreshed. I love the pump it comes with, as it makes sure you use ever last drop, and it's just really easy to use whilst in the shower! I like that it's gentle enough for your face, but I've only used it on my body as I'm quite cautious of what I use on my face! But I found it worked really well, and was a great product at prepping my skin for tan. The scrub retails at £10-£15 depending on where you buy from! You could say it is a little pricey, but I'd recommend it to anyone!

5 BEAUTY MUST HAVES //

Name: Georgia
Location: North-West Scotland (Harry Potter Land)
Occupation: Student
Skin Type: Oily/Combination

#1 MAC Face and Body Foundation (£25.50) this foundation is beyond beautiful. it's natural and doesn't look at all cakey. basically it's a "your skin but better" kinda deal. i've been using it for about a year, and i can't ever see myself using another foundation, it's that good! my only problem with it is that because of it's water based consistency, i find it separates rather quickly, and the product doesn't do well with heat! i took it in my bag on a hot day in london, and it completely separated and became unusable! but regardless, it's amazing, and i'd recommend to all!

#2 MAC Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Powder (£17.50) yet another fab product by MAC! i'm in love with this, i've had the same container of this for over a year and it's still almost full! with this a little goes a long way, and this looks amazing with the face and body foundation! it's transparent so it suits everyone. it holds your makeup all day and makes your skin look amazing. i literally can't fault it, go get it, now!

#3 Xen-Tan Dark Lotion (£28.99) don't be put off the price tag for this one! this is by far the best self tanner i have ever used (and believe me there's been loads!) it smells just like marzipan, and leaves the most natural, sunkissed colour around. i'd highly recommend it to anyone who is a tan addict like me, you can also get it cheaper for £20 off places like amazon!

#4 Clinique Liquid Facial Soap Oily Skin Formula (£11) this face wash has been a life saver for me. i have pretty good skin, but obviously like any other human i do get breakouts, and i need them away, fast! and this does just that, it clears your skin with only a couple of uses (when used morning and night) it's the only product i really need in my bathroom for my skin! i use it in the morning just with my fingers, and with a muslin cloth at night for a light exfoliation.

#5 Revlon Grow Luscious Mascara (£10.99) this mascara is fantastic, one of the best i've used! and it's fairly priced too, which is an added bonus! it volumises and lengthens all in one! definitely on my favourites list!
